Joanne has been the Care Manager here for twenty five years and has laboured to implement great changes and advancements in it's structure and organisational culture. Joanne first felt inspired to take on a career in Nursing after the care she and her baby received from the local hospital when he was born prematurely. Despite being at the head of the company, Joanne enjoys spending as much time as possible with the service users here as she has a compassionate and caring nature.
Angela is our longest serving member of staff at Newford Nursing Home. She remembers her first shift when she and a team of care staff were nursing just one single patient as the home first opened! Angela trained as a nurse in the Royal Navy and is our Clinical Lead; heading a team of great nurses to provide a high quality standard of nursing care. As a Deputy manager, she is a vital support to the Care Manager; is deeply methodical in her work and strives to provide the best for the people in her care.
The Nursing Team come from various specialist backgrounds of nursing care and have decades of experience between them.
You will recognise our Nursing staff from their uniforms which are hospital blue with navy trim.
Our care team is made up of our Floor Manager, Senior Care staff and care staff. Our Floor manager wears a teal uniform with white stripe; the senior care wear a purple uniform with white trim and the care staff wear plain purple uniform.
Domestic
Our domestic staff all wear red uniforms or the handymen/painters wear black polo shirts. Working seven days a week, there is always a cleaner at hand around the home who take care of domestic services and laundry.
Catering
Our kitchen staff wear white uniforms and check trousers. All of our kitchen staff have qualifications relevant to their roles and work as part of a team to provide fresh, home-made meals for all of our service users including those with specialist diets.

Volunteers
We also have volunteers who lovingly spare their time for Newford. Our volunteers are truly treasured and come as they can to take part in activity sessions or to simply sit and chat to our service users on a one-to-one basis.
