Newford Nursing Home is a purpose-built, single storey Nursing Home in Stoke-on-Trent. It encompasses wide, bright corridors and spacious lounges; and is complete with forty one en-suite bedrooms. With state of the art facilities for it's service users and having received a 'Good' rating from our last CQC inspection, Newford ensures that our home sure enough becomes their home.
We pride ourselves on our person-centred care which ensures that service users are given an excellent quality of care, tailored to their own personal needs. Our staff are kind and dedicated, and all with a high level of training specific to their job role. Most of our staff have been with us for numerous years, with some even having been here from the very first day in which we opened.
Daily activities are available at Newford, with a member of our Activities Team being on site every single day, including weekends. Our Activity staff are highly trained in areas specifically suited for the promotion of a good quality of life and are continually learning to better provide for their service users. They work alongside the Care Staff to co-ordinate a wide range of interesting sessions suitable for the audience at hand.
We are proud to offer a wide range of meal choices which are adapted to suit a variety of differing dietary requirements. Service users are able to dine in our communal dining area, one of our four lounges, or otherwise in the privacy of our private dining area or their own bedroom. Each day here sees our kitchen staff preparing home-made meals using fresh, local ingredients; with a choice of alternatives always at hand for those fancying something a little different.
At Newford, we understand that the transition from living in your own home to living in a care environment can be a drastic change. We therefore provide services matching those which our clients may have when at home. Normally go to the hairdresser's on a weekly basis? No problem ~ we have an on-site salon available for our service users to be pampered in. Enjoy going to the pub? Our manager is licensed and we have a small bar to echo the pub experience.
Our experienced and highly trained caregivers provide the highest quality of care to both patients and their families. Our goal is to help individuals and their loved ones live happy and fulfilling lives. All of our staff members undergo annual specialist training for Dementia Care, ensuring that our service users receive the best possible service.
