All bedroom are a good size and are already furnished. Service users are welcome to personalise their bedrooms as they see fit and bring in items from home.
We have four lounges which each sit around eight people comfortably. Each lounge is named and themed around a particular purpose. We have our 'Memory Lane' lounge which is filled with reminiscence materials and all things from days gone by. Our 'Broadway' lounge comprises of our musical instruments including a piano, as well as murals on the walls of a jazz band.
We further have our 'Hollywood' lounge in which the walls are adorned with hand-painted murals of famous stars. Here we have our recliner chairs and wide screen television, to mimic the cinema experience. Lastly we have our 'Stargazer' lounge which houses our range of multi-sensory equipment. This lounge is designed for relaxation activities which we offer on a regular basis.
We have a conservatory at Newford which is decked out as a vintage style Tea Room. We have weekly tea mornings here and chat over a cup of tea and specially baked cake. Within the conservatory area we also have our bar and a private dining area.
Sure to receive a warm welcome and be greeted by a friendly face, our reception is the hub of the home. The reception houses the offices of the Business Manager and the Nursing Team who are always at hand to answer any queries which you may have. Our reception area also features our Activities Station, which houses various types of activity props for anybody to use as they feel willing. We welcome our service users, families and friends and staff members to access this station as they see fit to encourage more activity sessions in the home.
We have recently had our outside area renovated in time for the summer. With artificial grass, picnic benches and raised flower beds, our service users are able to enjoy time spent in the fresh air and warmer weather. This area is great for when we have our visits from the local Ice Cream Van!
With increasing compliance regarding infection control and resident laundry requirements, linen, towels and service users' clothng are managed in our specialist laundry.
A large team of Kitchen Staff work within this large space. Our kitchen is kitted out with top of the range equipment and a walk-in pantry perfect for the preparation of our home-made meals.
There is ample parking at the front of the home for visitors. We also have an overspill car park at the rear of the building should it be required.
